Making Children Happy, One Wish at a Time

When a child’s wish is granted, something miraculous happens. It can change his or her entire world and spark a light of hope that has been dimmed by a life-threatening medical condition. The majority of children who receive wishes go on to lead healthy and productive lives beyond childhood.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri serves children in all 115 counties in Missouri and 6 Kansas counties that are a part of metro Kansas City. The Chapter was founded in 1983.  Since then, the chapter has gone on to grant more than 3,400 wishes!

Wishes are financed through individual contributions, corporate donations, foundation grants, planned gifts and through fundraising events. We receive NO federal, state or local government funding and do not receive funding from the United Way.
