Project Help students from Parkway Central High School held various fundraisers through out the year to benefit Make-A-Wish*! All together they raised $1,000!

 

Every year Students from Ritenour High School host numerous fundraisers and raise enough money to grant a whole wish! Again this year they raised $5,000 and were honored with the 2009 Star Award in the Kids for Wish Kids category.

 

JP hosted a "Party with a Purpose" for his birthday this year. Instead of gifts he asked friends  and family to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Afterwards, he presented us with a check for $550!

 

Jacquelyn also hosted a party with a purpose for her birthday! She presented us with a check for $110! If you would like to have a "Party with a Purpose" click the link to the left for more information.

 

Art with Heart at Ladue Middle School once again benefited our Chapter raising almost $1,000.  Great job, Ladue Middle School...as always!

 

National Junior Honor Society Students (NJHS) at Hazelwood Northwest Middle School recently raised over $1,000 in 2 weeks by selling TJ's pizzas! What a yummy idea... Nice job!

 

The "Mighty MO-Ark" District of Key Club International raised over $5,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri.  We can't wait to be part of your success during the 2008-2009 school year.  Check the Key Club Corner for updates!    

 

At Bierbaum Elementary School the students went above and beyond in raising money to grant the wish of 11-year-old Eddie. Eddie is not only a local wish child, he is a 5th grader at Bierbaum! Students at Bierbaum hosted a simple "coin war" fundraiser, and surprised even themselves as they raised over $3,000 in one week! The look on Eddie's face was unforgettable as his compassionate classmates and friends chanted his name as he was told that his wish to go to Hawaii would come true!

 

 

At Jefferson R-7 Telegraph the students participated in "Coin Wars" during the month of October. A group of elected student represenatives that make up their Character Council spearheaded the event which raised more than $1,000 for Make-A-Wish! Teachers Kelli Clark, Nicole Johnson and Stacey Rayoum, who lead the school's Character Council, report their fundraiser set district records raising the most that any one school has ever raised within the distract. Nice job!

 

 

Clayton High School raised $1,000 when they got very creative and hosted a "Mr.CHS Pagent"! Male members of the student body had a lot of fun competing in categories such as formal wear, school spirit, and answering a thought-provoking question. How fun!

 

 

FZN Middle School sold stars for their Make-A-Wish fundraiser, and as a result they raised over $780! Everyone was very excited because this is the most money that they have ever raised. Great job, FZN!

 

 

Zoe, thirteen, chose to work with Make-A-Wish for her Bat Mitzvah service project. Zoe contacted the Build-A-Bear Workshop® to buy bears and then sold them as “Mitzvah Bears” around Chanukah time, to friends in her community. Next, she hosted a party at her home to decorate the bears and educate participants about Make-A-Wish. Zoe surpassed even her own expectations by selling 63 bears and raising over $1,000! Wow! 

 

Morgan and her sister recently made a visit to our office!  Morgan made her birthday a "Party with a Purpose!"  Instead of accepting birthday gifts, she asked her friends and family to make donations to Make-A-Wish.  Morgan presented us with a check for $195.00!  If you would like to host a "Party with a Purpose," click the link of the left for more information.     

 

Dylan and Abby collected spare change and dollars around their house with their parents.  They divided the money between another local charity and Make-A-Wish. You guys are awesome!

 

Jeremy Karp recently donated a portion of his monetary gifts that he received from his Bar Mitzvah.  Thank you, Jeremy! 

 

Liadan Gunter, president of the Missouri State Chapter of the Children of the American Revolution and a student at Whitfield High School, recently raised over $4,600 through various fundraisers.  Liadan also recruited a team of walkers for our annual Walk For Wishes® event!  Congratulations on a job well done, Liadan!

 

Lilly, with much help from her mom, had a lemonade stand in front of her home, and raised $43.20 for our Chapter.  Wow! We are so proud of you!

 

Trinity & Emma took a break from summer fun to visit our office!  Hot summer weather calls for cool refreshments…Emma & Trinity hosted a lemonade stand to quench the thirst of passers by... they raised $56 all for the Make-A-Wish!
