Wish Kid Karter meets Zack and Cody

Watching The Suite Life of Zack and Cody on Disney Channel every week, Wish Kid Karter dreamed of one day meeting the stars of his favorite show in person.  Karter’s wish came true when the Make-A-Wish Foundation® granted him a trip to Los Angeles to meet Zack and Cody on the set of their new show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody on Deck! 

From the moment he arrived in Los Angeles, Karter was treated like a movie star, meeting Zack and Cody on their set and watching the filming of the show, visiting Universal Studios for a behind-the-scenes look at the movie business, and enjoying a limo ride on Hollywood Boulevard.

“One of my favorite moments was riding in the limo on Hollywood Blvd.,” Wish Kid Karter recalled.  “People thought I was famous and when I rolled down my window, they took pictures because they thought I was a movie star.”

On his wish day, Karter had the honor of watching the very first taping of Zack and Cody’s new show, Zack and Cody on Deck.  The stars took the time to sign autographs, take pictures, and talk with Karter and his family.  He also had the opportunity to meet the directors, producers and writers of the show.  As a special surprise, the production coordinator mailed a piece of the show’s wardrobe to Karter’s mom, which she surprised Karter with on Christmas morning. 

“Make-A-Wish is awesome!” Wish Kid Karter said.  “I felt like a star before I even went because my wish granters treated me like a king and brought me gifts to celebrate going on my trip.”

With gratitude and thanks for Karter’s wish experience, his mother said, “I appreciate all you do and thank you very much for letting our son, Karter, experience the trip of a lifetime to Hollywood.  Words cannot describe the influence this trip had on Karter.”
